WHO WE ARE
The Knights of Columbus is the largest fraternal, family oriented, service organization of Catholic gentlemen in the world, with over 1,800,000 members. From its founding as a small, local Connecticut organization in 1882, the Order, while continuing to consist of small Councils dedicated to local parish and family life, has also become a powerful international force for good in support of Church and State, so much so that our founder, Fr. Michael J. McGivney, is being considered for Canonization. We were also responsible for adding "under God" to the Pledge of Allegance!
